Merrill Lynch Scholarship
MERRILL LYNCH IN CHINA Merrill Lynch is one of
the world's leading financial management and
advisory companies, with offices in 38 countries
and territories across six continents. Merrill
Lynch became the first US investment bank to
establish an on-the-ground presence in China with
the opening of a Shanghai office in 1993. Since
then, Merrill Lynch has helped the Chinese
government and Chinese companies raise more than
US30 billion from the international capital
markets. Merrill Lynch currently operates an
asset management joint venture in China with the
Bank of China Group. In addition, Merrill Lynch
is a Qualified Foreign Institutional Investor
(QFII), investing in Chinese domestic securities
on behalf of clients.
MERRILL LYNCH SCHOLARSHIP Merrill Lynch is proud
to continue its first scholarship program in
China which is aimed at the top Chinese students
studying at the leading universities in China.
The main purpose of this scholarship is to
strengthen the cooperation between Merrill Lynch
and Peking University. In addition, Merrill Lynch
hopes to encourage the top students to continue
to achieve their full potential.

• Eligibility
• Graduate and undergraduate students who are in
  their penultimate year (graduating in 2009) and
• consistently have the highest scholastic
  achievements
• are studying in any one of the following
  disciplines Economics, Management,
  International Trade and Finance
• possess leadership qualities demonstrated in
  extra-curricular activities or are actively
  engaged in community service

Award A total of 10 scholarships will be awarded
to each school per academic year and each
recipient will be awarded RMB10,000. Merrill
