- The first 1967 Camaro was based on Chevy's
compact Nova. However, it was based on the
upcoming redesigned '68 Nova. - The base 2,466 '67 Camaro sport coupe was lean

5Second Generation (1970½-1981)
- This was in production for 12 years, the longest
generation - The second-generation Camaro's styling was
inspired by Ferrari - This was the slowest generation
6Third Generation (1982-1992)
- Camaro starts to become more popular
- A Camaro paced the Indianapolis 500 again in 1982
7 Fourth Generation (1993-2002)
- Best Camaro built period.
- 02 models had over 335 hp straight from the
factory - Great bang for the buck very fast, handles well,
and looks good.
