Some things to consider

• A CRED-PRO graduate!
• Accreditation is procedure for formal
  recognition of course completion, achievement,
  standard of knowledge and/or skills.
• First class (or failed)!
• Accreditation procedures usually involve
  defining learning outcomes, setting levels of
  study, validating assessment procedures and
  conferring awards - selectively (certificates,
  diplomas,degrees)

• A license to practice!
• Accreditation for professionals working with
  children is linked to a license to practice, so
  highly significant public responsibility.
• A sign above the door!
• Accreditation bodies are linked to social/
  economic/political power, and an individuals
  esteem, and professional standing.

• It matters who credits CRED-PRO! Universities,
  colleges, professional associations etc,
  traditionally are major sources of accreditation
  (independently or licensed by the State)
• Professional credentials dont travel well!
• With a few exceptions, awards have national but
  not international currency

• Does CRED-PRO want to offer formal qualifications
  in child rights?
• How can it best achieve this?

• Who is paying - a donor, a government, the
  student?
• Who is in control - CRED-PRO or partners - or no

• How far is control centralised or devolved/
  dispersed?
