• All 3 circular segments finished.
• Flanges positioned and aligned.
• Gluing of segments today (10-12)
• Splicing (seam sealing), guard rings and vias
  this week.
• Delivery
• This vessel will be delivered in one piece
  Mid-January 2002.

  control by CERN (Central Workshop).

  checked and X-rayed very high quality work
• We were last customer (!).
• Contracting for machining
• Old tender void! Lowest bidder (FCM-Spain) quoted
  wrong currency (CHF-gt )
• New tender launched last month.

• New bids arrive December 2001 (now).
• Order to be placed January 2002.
• Tolerances relaxed where feasible.
• No ALODINE treatment (-40 kCHF).
• Schedule
• Welded plates to machine shop February 2002

FC Central Electrode

• Prototyping
• First foil of 3 parallel layers stretched on
  aluminum frame.
• Stretch-machine has been shipped to TA2.
• Presently 5-6 foils being glued together.
• Produce three foils for TPC.
• Central electrode available November 2002.

• Makrolon chosen as rod material.

• DELPHI assembly frame ready.
• Clean house errected.
• Electrical circuits still to install (budget!)
• Additional tools (survey, alignment) in
  preparation.
• Construction of vessels with Fischer starts in
  March 2002.
