Title: Robin Hood research project
1Robin Hood research project
- Your task is to produce a presentation about the
characters of the Robin Hood story.
2Some people in History are so famous that there
is a mountain of information about them. Often,
so many sources are available that it is
difficult for historians to work out what is fact
and what is fiction. One of these people is Robin
Hood. You will have heard of him from stories,
television and films. But it is difficult for
historians to work out the truth about what
really happened!Your taskYou must produce a
Powerpoint presentation about Robin Hood. It
should be designed for a tourist attraction in
Nottingham that wants to tell people the Robin
Hood story.
3When?
- For Homework
- This will be the homework task for around 6/7
weeks - Every other week you will be set a different task
in relation to the project - You must fill in the homework record sheet each
time to show what you do for homework each week.
I will check and sign it.
4First
- Research all of the characters and places I want
you to include in your presentation. - Robin Hood
- Little John
- Friar Tuck
- Maid Marian
- Much the Millers son
- Sheriff of Nottingham
- Guy of Gisborne
- Nottingham, Sherwood and Barnsdale
5- The main website you will need to use to create
your presentation is the Bold Outlaw website. - http//www.boldoutlaw.com/
- http//www.robinhood.ltd.uk/robinhood/index.html
- http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robin_Hood
6- Remember that your teacher does not want to see
huge amounts of information on Robin Hood that
you have copied and pasted from the internet.
They would much rather see between three and six
bullet points of relevant information on each
slide in your own words that shows you understand
each point. They also want to see an attractive
presentation with pictures, colour and
animations! - And the best presentations will include examples
of extra research for example, was Robin Hood
actually a bit of a criminal who doesnt deserve
to be remembered fondly?!
7- When completed, it must be printed out and given
to your teacher. You can stop printing lots of
paper by selecting File, then Print then change
the Print what pull down menu to Handout.
Choosing three slides per page will be enough.
