3Matthew 18 1-4

asked, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of
heaven?" - 2He called a little child and had him stand
among them. 3And he said "I tell you the truth,
unless you change and become like little
children, you will never enter the kingdom of
heaven. 4Therefore, whoever humbles himself like
this child is the greatest in the kingdom of
heaven.
4The Life of True Significance
- I. What is the main obstacle ?
5King Uzziah (2 Chron. 26)
- 16 But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride
led to his downfall. . . .
5 He sought God during the days of Zechariah who
instructed him in the fear of God. As long as he
sought the Lord, God gave him success.
6- II. Why is pride the main obstacle?
1 John 216 For everything in the
worldthe cravings of sinful man, the lust of his
eyes and the boasting pride of what he has and
doescomes not from the Father but from the world.
There are 2 kinds of significance 1) True
significance comes from the Father 2) False
significance (pride) comes from possessions
accomplishments

8Humble Faith before God
- 1. Establish your personal relationship with
God by receiving Gods word at face value
And without faith it is impossible to please
God, because anyone who comes to him must believe
that he exists and that he rewards those who
earnestly seek him. (Heb 116)
But God demonstrates his own love for us in
this While we were still sinners, Christ died
for us. (Rm 58)
2. Walk with God in humility
9King Josiah (2 Chron. 34)
- 3 In the eighth year of his reign, while he was
still young, he began to seek the God of his
father David. . . . .
27 Because your heart was responsive and you
humbled yourself before God when you heard what
he spoke against this place and its people, and
because you humbled yourself before me and tore
your robes and wept in my presence, I have heard
you, declares the Lord.
