Consider these signs of the times.

The Worst of All Times?

  in Israels history?
• 2 Timothy 31-5
• Matthew 246-9, 21
• Revelation 2-3
• Does bad news get more air time?
• Greater population?

Some things may be worse in relation to our own
lifetimes.

• Television and censorship divorce immorality.
• They teach adultery by acting it out. How do we
  expect our young people to respond when they see
  these things practiced without shame and that
  everyone eagerly watches?
• It is good to discern the times, to see the
  difference between right and wrong, and to have
  some righteous indignation about it all.

Nobody has had times as hard as these.

• No temptation has overtaken you except such as is
  common to man. (1 Cor. 1013)

We Love to Complain

• Do all things without murmuring and disputing.
  (Phil. 214)

We just cant do it!

• I can do all things through Christ who
  strengthens me. (Phil. 413)

This is positive Christianity!

Some things we can do

• Remember that other times have been as bad or
  worse than our own.
• Do not say, Why were the former days better than
  these? For you do not inquire wisely concerning
  this. (Eccl. 710)
• The past may not have been as good as we
  remember.
• The present may be better than we are willing
  to admit.

Some things we can do

• Remember that the whole world will never be
  converted, at least in this age.
• The faithful will always be in the minority.
• Dont blame Christians (ourselves).
• Perhaps some need to turn off the TV and put down
  the newspaper.
• Dont try to change the whole world but start
  with ourselves and those we can hope to influence.

Some things we can do

• Stop worrying (pray instead) about things we
  cannot control and work on the things we can
  control. (ourselves)
• Joy, tranquility, peace, praise and hope are all
  things we can enjoy and practice at any time.
• The Lord is still on His throne!
• The devil is not winning!

Some things we can do

• Look to the strong members of the church.
• Look to the Jeremiahs, the Ruths, and the Pauls
  of the Bible.

Look to Jesus! (Hebrews 122-4)
