  • Manageable set to cover range of activity
    including learning teaching, strategic planning
    and financial health
  • Consistency with HE PIs for HE activity

  • Council has asked all sub committees and advisory
    groups to consider and report back for November

  • Introduction proposed from academic year
    2001-2002
  • FE Statistics advisory group has indicated that
    information for student based PIs should be
    collected through FES

Performance Indicators - medium term
  • Current PIs will continue to be collected and
    improved
  • Changes to FES will be introduced for August 2000
    enrolments to enable retention PIs to be
    generated centrally
  • Achievement data to be taken from exam boards and
    matched into FES records.

    changes which reflect college comment on PI
    feedback and Benchmarking project- May
  • Accept not possible to introduce changes and be
    consistent over time

  • SARU - was collected separately for the old SEB,
    SCOTVEC and non SQA awards. Now a single table.
  • SRR(2) and SPAR- for part time students was only
    collected for SQA but for full time was for all
    programmes. Now collected for all programmes for
    full and part time students

  • Assessment credits
  • Success in one 40-hour unit yields 1 assessment
    credit and units of other lengths are pro rata.
  • Enrolments / initially registered
  • Number who complete the college registration
    procedure or register for first assessment
    credits of a course
  • Programme success-Unnamed full time awards
  • FE- 15 or more for a programme of 18 or more
    assessment credits
  • HE- 16 or more for a programme of 19 or more
    assessment credits
  • and 12 or more for a programme of 15-18
    assessment credits
  • Programme completion date
  • Timetable date for completion of MINIMUM number
    of assessment credits defined for success in
    course
  • Programme end date
  • Timetable date for end of programme
