skills for graduates by challenging them with a
range of opportunities so that they may become
capable future leaders within IOC.

- B. Comm degree
- Started in Purchasing Department dealing with
procurement and logistical issues - Has worked in various roles within the area-
Buyer, Inventory Analyst, Contract Administration
- I would highly recommend the GDP to any
university graduate as it caters to their
educational background
16Nicole Slade- Mechanical Engineer
- Upon graduation was hired into the GDP
- Completed rotations in the mine, concentrator,
pellet plant and loading facilities in Sept Illes - Worked in numerous disciplines such as
engineering, maintenance and operations, as
Junior Engineer, Team Leader, and Project Manager - I believe the program enabled me to move within
5 years from a junior engineer to a
Superintendent role - I would strongly recommend the program, it helps
the graduate understand the career path they want
to pursue and develop a diverse set of skills.
17Oliver Berman- Mining Engineer
- Oliver started with IOCC in June 2001 under the
GDP. - Worked in various roles in the mine from Team
Leader, Drill and Blast Engineer, Planner. - Moved to Australia to work for Rio Tinto Iron Ore
for an 8 month secondment. - This experience allows us to meet people from a
different part of the world and to share ideas.
