• A very warm welcome to you all

• To explain again the thinking behind lending PCs
  to children
• Three schools involved Eastbury Secondary
  School, Ripple Junior and Ripple Infants.
• All three schools share the same vision of as
  many children as possible having access to an up
  to date computer.
• To help your children with their learning we want
  to lend you an up to date PC for the entire time
  your child is with us.

• A CD re-writer.
• MS Office (e.g. Word, Excel).
• Educational Software.
• Email software.
• Software to get you on the internet.
• Antivirus software.
• AntiSpyware software

• What you need to do
• Agree and sign the terms of agreement document.
• Come to the school to collect all the boxes
• Consider attending training that will be
  provided.
• Look after the computer and contact
• The company if it gets damaged or doesnt work,
• The police and the school if it is stolen.
• Return it when your child leaves the school.
• Have a fun time getting to know with your
  children all the great things that you can do and
  learn using the computer ?

• Timetable of events
• All three schools have collected computer data,
  which we used to invite you to come along.
• Parents sign the lending agreement today/tonight.
• School provides instructions on the website
  http//www.ripple-j.bardaglea.org.uk/download.htm
  on how to make your computer safe from viruses
  and Spyware. You will also have a CD to get you
  on the Internet
• School will contact you when your computer is
  ready for collection. You must collect the
  computer and equipment I suggest bringing a car
  because of the risk of damage otherwise
• School-based training in using the resources
  offered. Times/dates TBA
