Mission to promote the economic development
through innovation

• Policy since 1979
• to promote early stage technology development
  and start up companies
• to support RD for innovative products in SMEs
• to develop closer relationships between public
  RD and industry
• to facilitate European joint research and to
  develop international partnerships
• to increase young peoples awareness of
  innovation

On January 1st 2005, the rapprochement of the
Agency with the BDPME to constitute the OSEO
group, thus to reinforce its capacity to
answer the needs of innovative SMEs

• Created by the rapprochement of two structures
• Anvar
• To encourage the creation of enterprise and the
  growth of SMEs through innovation
• To support the public laboratories to
  commercialise their research achievements
• BDPME (Development Bank for SMEs)
• To facilitate the access to credit for SMEs by
  sharing the risk with their banks, or by partial
  loan guarantee, or by co-financing
