• EMPLOYMENT This means being occupied in a job
  and being paid.
• INFORMAL SECTOR refers to the form of
  employment usually found in LEDCs where people
  have had to find work for themselves, often
  illegally, on the streets and in small workshops.
• Now find out what the main characteristics of the
  informal sector are.

  parent occupations.
• Once this is complete you should divide them into
  the 5 sectors of employment.
• You are now going to draw up a pie chart to show
  your results.
• Which is the most common sector in this class?

• Make a survey of jobs from the local paper.
• How many jobs are in each sector?
• How many jobs require qualifications of
  experience?
• Do you think the nature of the jobs being
  advertised will have changed in the past 20
  years? In what ways?
