Whats the Letter About?
You got a letter if the university computer
thinks you are missing the course requisites.
Prereq Math 1431 (Calc I) C- or better CFORI
ECE 1100 or equivalent Major Engineering
If you got a letter you must respond to it
If you do not respond by the deadline, you will
be dropped! Whatever you do, return the letter
with your response to the ECE Office (N308D)

ECE 1331
  • This course is designed to introduce the
    electrical computer engineering major to the
    use of engineering workstations in a networked
    environment. Computer-based tools for engineering
    problem-solving, including spreadsheets and
    Matlab will be covered.

Course Format
  • The course is taught in lecture sections which
    meet for three hours per week. There is no
    separately scheduled lab. You will have some
    "suggested" lab exercises as well as graded
    homeworks and projects as indicated below.
    However it will be up to you to get them done.

Required Texts
  • Course Guide containing detailed class schedule,
    statement of course policies, supplemental notes,
    the first few labs and the first project must be
    purchased from the Copy Center in the basement of
    the UC. It is packet 68, and costs 20.15.
  • Introduction to Matlab 7 for Engineers" by
    William Palm is available in the Bookstore.

  • Final Exam Thursday May 3, 5PM
