Groups

• There are seven groups in a show. They are the
  toy group, hound, non sporting, sporting,
  terrier, working, and the herding group.

Age

• You must be ten and up before you can show a dog.

Types Of Shows

• There are many types of shows. Can you name them?

Breeds

• There are 165 different breeds in a show. WOW!

How To Win

• First, you have to win best in breed class.
• Next, you compete in your group.
• If you win best in group you compete against
• the other winners of the best in their class. It
  is called best in show. If you win that, you win.

Judges

• The judges are very tough. They dont judge
  against other dogs and they dont compare breed
  to breed. They look for the most perfect dog
  according to their ideal behavior and gait.

Clothes

• The men judges wear tuxedos and no bright colors.
  The women wear evening gowns ect.
