Personalisation
  • To build a successful system of personalised
    learning, we must begin by acknowledging that
    giving every single child the chance to be the
    best they can be, whatever their talent or
    background, is not the betrayal of excellence, it
    is the fulfilment of it. Personalised learning
    means high quality teaching that is responsive to
    the different ways students achieve their best.

Impact of EMA Programmes on National Results
  • In 2006 at KS2 L4 Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Black
    African and Black Caribbean pupils all scored
    below national averages in English and Maths
    gap significantly wider in Maths for all these
    groups

  • BAFR 12

Narrowing the gap in 2006
  • At KS2 BCRB and BAFR pupils continued a trend
    of improvement greater than the national average
    improvement in the proportion of pupils achieving
    level 4 in English and Maths
