VIRGINIA U.M. ADVOCATE Annual Subscription
Campaign The Advocate (news magazine of the VA
Conference) covers not only the news from
churches throughout our state, but also across
the nation and around the world. It's a great way
to learn what's happening in church outreach and
missions, as congregations everywhere face the
challenges and opportunities in their
communities. Our annual subscription
campaign continues until February 22. Please use
the form below, make your check payable to Beulah
UMC, designated for the Advocate, and use one of
the pew envelopes to place it in the offering
plate. You can also give it to Barbara Tuttle,
Advocate Representative, at the volunteers' desk
after morning worship.

3VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES 2nd 4th Sunday morning
breakfast providers are urgently needed. No one
has volunteered to provide and serve breakfast
for these days and the temporary arrangements are
soon to come to an end. If you could bridge this
gap, please call the church office or Jane
Schmierer, 778-4993. The Saturday Bus Ministry
continues, and we'd love for you to join us on
Saturdays at 930am in the Fellowship Hall.
Donuts and coffee will be provided. If you're
available to help with coffee and donuts, please
call Addie Brooks at 425-5994. 2009 nursery
volunteers needed. Anyone who would like to
participate in helping the Church by caring for
our youngest members during the worship hours,
please call the office to volunteer. PAINTING IN
THE FELLOWSHIP HALL Our well loved building is
celebrating its tenth anniversary. It is
beginning to look a little worn around the edges
from hosting all the events it has seen. We have
an account set up for any contributions toward
the goal of 5,000 (present total 428.00) to
pay for this face-lift. Anyone wishing to
contribute should mark their gift with account
2217 and place in the offering plate, or deliver
to the office. We look forward to bright, fresh
rooms in the FH. SPROUTS This years SPROUTS
group will begin meeting on Sunday afternoons
from 330-500pm beginning on February 1. SPROUTS
is a children's ministry for 3rd - 5th graders
who want to help one another grow in their faith
in Jesus Christ. We meet weekly for 2 months to
support one another and hold one another
accountable as Christian disciples. We also enjoy
a large group time when we focus on a justice
issue. This year we anticipate taking on the
justice issue of world hunger. I would love to
have 100 participation from our 3rd - 5th
graders. Please prayerfully consider this
opportunity and sign your child up below. If you
have any questions, please call the church
office. Child's name ___________________________
