• Patients in the community have a wide variety of
  information needs that occur before, during and
  between interactions with the health care system.
  They are becoming increasingly interested not
  only in knowing what health data are available
  about themselves, but how to understand it.
  Lately, this has included genomic information as
  well. What would you envision as being the
  desired functions to help the patient understand
  and participate in their own care in ways that
  would be coordinated with clinicians caring for
  them as well as the variety of institutions on
  which they must rely?
