  • Most vineyards are situated in the Western Cape
    near the coast, although vineyards are also
    grown in the drier northern and eastern
    regions.
  • Vineyards are dispersed throughout the Western
    and Northern Cape, 700 km north to south and 500
    km across between the Atlantic and Indian Oceans.
  • Impact of the cold Benguela Current and
    Oceanbreezes on coastal regions.
  • Inland regions are hot and arid.
