Advanced searching tips
  • Look for two or more words by using AND
  • Example nurses" AND Ontario" will match
    documents that have both the word nurses and the
    word Ontario anywhere within.
  • Look for synonyms by using OR.
  • Example nurses" OR Ontario" will match
    documents that contain the words nurses or
    Ontario, but not necessarily both.
  • Look for words that are close to each other by
    using NEAR.
  • Example registered nurses" NEAR Ontario" will
    match documents where the word nurses is within
    50 words of the word Ontario.
  • Look for words that begin with the same letters
    by using a single asterisk.
  • Example nurses will match nurse, nurses, nursing

  • Exclude words with minus signs (put a space
