  • The word sustantivo means noun in English. A
    noun is a word used to denote a person, place,
    thing, or idea.

  • Spanish nouns can be either feminine or
    masculine. Keep in mind that you cannot predict
    the gender of a noun, except in the case of
    living creatures.
