MEAN WELL provides different kinds of LED Drivers for indoor lighting fixtures. In general, LED drivers with plastic housing can be classified into independent and integrated types. For example, NPF, LPF, PWM, and OWA series are equipped with the waterproof function and can be used outdoors as an independent driver control gear or built-in with luminaires, especially for high humidity or semi-outdoor environment.

This technology has the lowest energy consumption produced to date. Plus, LED Light Bulbs last up to 20 times longer than incandescent bulbs! Their maintenance costs are very low, they have a long useful life and they reduce light pollution. As if that were not enough, another of its benefits is that they are made with recyclable materials and does not contain polluting elements such as mercury.

But LED Candle Bulb will not soon replace energy-consuming hot tungsten filaments, glass vacuum flasks, or energy-saving lamps of other designs. The reason for this is the relatively high cost of led bulbs. Another brake on progress in the lighting industry is that LEDs emit a pulsating light that unpleasantly irritates the eyes. But this annoying drawback can be eliminated with the help of a simple electronic device consisting of a diode bridge, a capacitor, and resistors. The trouble is that each (!) LED Candle bulb has to be supplied with such an individual power supply. To achieve the complete elimination of LED flicker, manufacturers add electronic controllers and miniature transformers to the ice light bulb power supply. Of course, all this increases the cost of innovative lamps.
