Last 30 years in Industry and being associated with top film organizations like IMPTPA the renowned film director Ashok Tyagi has been nominated as the festival director of 7th Global Film Festival Noida 2014 to be held at Noida Film City from 11th to 13th November. “I have been part of Global Film Festivals Noida for now six times in different capacities, I am sure I will be able to handle the show perfectly” said Ashok Tyagi accepting the designation announced by Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios in board meeting. “We are well equipped with all the information and style of organizing an international film festival. We will use our experience in full capacity” added Sandeep Marwah President of GFFN 2014. More than 200 people are working in their respective departments to take the festival to an international standard.

International Sufi festival began as a mark of respect to the Sufi Saint Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chishty (R.A) to spread his message of Peace and Humanity. ‘After the successful completion of three-major International Sufi Festival in Ajmer, the organizers have decided to shift the venue of this grand musical extravaganza to Noida Film City in the month of December 2014’, informed Gulsha Begum President of the festival while addressing the National Press. “Marwah Studios has been the partners to the Sufi festival since its inception at Ajmer where thousands of people have enjoyed its presence” added Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios. The curtain raiser of the festival will be held at Ajmer on 8th November, 2014 followed by three days of events i.e., from 19th to 21st December 2014 at Noida. The festival will feature Sufi films, exhibitions, seminars, workshops and Sufi singers from around the world.

A unique film festival of the films made and shot by cellphone are the entry to International Festival of Cellphone Cinema now declared its 8th edition to take place in the month of January 2015 at Noida Film City. “We are again excited with the coming of 8th IFCC. The film lovers across the World has been asked to submit their films and still photographs as entry to the festival” said Sandeep Marwah President of the festival. The festival has three categories including still photographs, a film up to 3 minutes, an ENG or a music video up to three minutes. The participants can be any one and everyone who has used mobile phone for clicking picture or shot film.The entries are welcomed till 20th January, 2015.

7th Global Film Festival Noida declared a special award for Smita Patil for contribution to cinema and society. Her sister Manya Seth received the award on the first day of 7th GFFN presented by Sandeep Marwah President of GFFN. Smita Patil (17 October 1955– 13 December 1986) was an Indian actress of film, television and theatre. Regarded among the finest stage and film actresses of her times, Patil appeared in over 80 Hindi and Marathi films in a career that spanned just over a decade. During her career, she received two National Film Awards and a Filmfare Award. She was the recipient of the Padma Shri India’s fourth-highest civilian honor in 1985. Apart from acting, Patil was an active feminist (in a distinctly Indian context) and a member of the Women’s Centre in Mumbai. She was deeply committed to the advancement of women’s issues, and gave her endorsement to films .
