Types Of Ketchup Packing There are two major types of liquid pouch filling machines: vertical form fill seal (VFFS) and horizontal form fill seal (HFFS) packing machines. The filled and sealed bag is cut away. As is evident in many tomato sauce/ketchup brands, the top seal on the first bag becomes the bottom of the next bag, and the process repeats. The cut pouch falls to a collection system, typically a belt conveyor that brings the pouch to the next packaging step. Ketchup packing is generally referred to as ‘flexible packaging’ or ‘sachet packing’ as opposed to ‘bottle and jar packing’ which is rigid. Flexible packaging offers several advantages: it uses less material, needs less energy during formation, and produces less greenhouse gases during manufacturing. Being lightweight & unbreakable, it is economical to pack, store, and transport.

Infinity’s secondary packaging for strip of pouches is used to make a stack of product strips or collate the strips and provide a neat flow-wrapped package at high production speeds. The secondary packs are made in Heat Sealable Laminate. The secondary packaging automation is made of a conveyor at the output of the VFFS machine and an intermediate conveyor to align the speed of the pouches. Further, it also consists of a matrix conveyor to produce matrixes and feed the same to horizontal flow wraps. The system utilizes Infinity’s state-of-the-art PICK & PLACE system for gentle product transfer, precise handling, and quick changeovers. The maximum input speed is 100 packs/minute from VFFS and the output speed is 8-12 secondary packs per minute and can also be integrated with your VFFS and HFFS machines.

Infinity’s secondary packaging for pouches (IBP-200) is used to make a bundle of products collate them and provide a neat flow-wrapped package at high production speeds. The secondary packs are made in Heat Sealable Laminate and can be further produced as shrink-pack products. For non-rigid products, the packs are passed through sandwich conveyors to maintain uniformity and reduce the size of the final packs for transport readiness. The secondary pouch packaging solution utilizes Infinity’s state-of-the-art RACETRACK system for high-speed product collation, gentle product transfer, precise handling, and quick changeovers. With our advanced and efficient secondary packaging system, individual pouches from 100 grams up to 1 Kg are packed in a large pouch using the counting and bundling mechanism integrated with the flow wrap system. Besides, the system can pack up to 20 secondary packs per minute and can be integrated with your VFFS or HFFS machines.
