Heather Oesterreich is an award-winning professor and teacher. She began teaching in the 1990s and started her career with a bang when she was a Churchill County New Teacher of the Year Award finalist.
Dr, Heather Oesterreich is an entertaining and funny educator with high expectations that makes students think about themselves and the world they live in. She has a reputation for making learning fun and challenging, meaningful and relational. She has taught at every level from middle school through post-graduate studies and worked widely as a consultant in the area of social justice education. Away from the classroom she spends hours at the park playing with her ball-addicted favorite companion, Mazin the Golden Doodle.
